CERTIFICATIONS:

  • District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License

  • Maryland Handgun Permit

  • Virginia Concealed Carry Permit

  • NRA – Basics of Pistol Shooting

  • Utah Concealed Firearm Permit

  • Florida, Illinois and Arizona certifications available at additional costs

16-HOUR COURSE ITINERARY

Day 1: Classroom

-   Firearm Safety & Storage
-   Basic Principles of Marksmanship
-   Pistol & Ammunition Selection for Defensive Purposes
-   Care, Cleaning & Maintenance
-   Pistol Carry Methods & Gear
-   Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
-   Live-Fire Training & Qualification 
-   The Ethical Use of Deadly Force

Day 2: Virtual Course

-   Federal Laws on Firearms
-   State Laws on Firearms and Self-Defense
-   Permit Application Process

Range Qualification will be scheduled for mutually convenient day and time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • No. of Students:  2 (min) - 6 (max)

  • Prerequisite:   None

  • Class Supplies:   Pen and paper

  • Range Gear:

    • Hearing and eye protection

    • Range appropriate clothing

    • Pistol with at least one magazine (rentals available)

    • Ammunition:  50+ rounds FMJ

Handguns are available to use for qualification if you do not own one. If you do have your own firearm, you are welcome (and encouraged) to bring it. 

State application fees and fingerprints are not included in class price. 

You must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm with valid government photo ID to attend this course.
